A sample of the full page ad we plan to run in the Sunday Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has been created!
It is obviously not final (the names were all randomly generated and we have filler text at the bottom we need to replace), but it should give a good idea of what the final ad will look like. If you would like to see this ad (with your name in it!) in the Sunday Journal Sentinel, we could use your help with the following things:
- If you haven't donated yet, please do so with the "Donate" buttons at the top and bottom of this post, or come to our next meeting.
- If you have already donated, please share this page with your friends and encourage them to donate as well.
- We are looking for input on what to put in the text areas on either side of our logo on the bottom of the ad. We are thinking of putting our meeting times and contact info on one side, and maybe a call to action or some legalization talking points on the other - but we would love other peoples' opinions on this matter.
- We would like feedback on the ad's design and layout. A simple "I love it!" or some constructive criticism are both appreciated.
We have had a few faithful supporters who contributed without even seeing a draft of the ad, but now that we actually have something to show people, we can begin our fundraising in earnest! I will be attempting to take advantage of the politically active crowds that the Recall Walker and Occupy Milwaukee movements generate, and will be in Madison on Saturday soliciting donations for the ad at the Recall Walker rally.
I will provide an update on the status of our fundraising in a week or so. Thank you for the support!
